Description: Aikido of Livermore - Shinrei Dojo was established in 1989 and was the first Aikido dojo in the Tri-Valley area. We offer traditional martial arts training in the Japanese arts of Aikido and Shinkendo. The dojo’s founder and chief instructor is Jim Alvarez Sensei. Alvarez Sensei holds the ranks of Aikido - Godan (5th Degree Black Belt) certified by the Aikikai Hombu Dojo-Aikido World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, Shinkendo - Kyoshi and Toyama Ryu Batto-do - 3rd Dan certified by the International Shinkendo Federation.
